WHO ARE YOU?:
From a tiny tom boy in the 60’s to a Personal Trainer/Group fitness instructor & Mum, I have always been into fun, fitness & healthy lifestyle. My competitive background is in running, but I love the fitness balance cross training develops.
WHEN DID YOU START TEACHING CYCLE?
14 years ago. I fell in love with road cycling in 1999 when, knowing zip about cycling, I bought a bike & cycled through parts of France, Italy & Spain. It was a baptism of fire but I was hooked! Came home & started teaching freestyle spin and RPM – up to 10 classes per week.
WHAT EXCITES YOU ABOUT THE AOC?
I loved the space as soon as I walked in! Then just one ride on the Watt bike transformed the way I rode & how I apporached my teaching. It’s awesome that anyone, from novice to elite can participate in the same class and get just the workout they need .
The AOC has fabulous instructors, each with a different approach, so I’m looking forward to broadening my cycle repertoire even further.
A great coffee after class is the icing on the cake!
WHAT CAN WE EXPECT FROM YOUR CLASSES?
I love teaching cycle and I think it shows. The combination of motivating music and ripper intervals are used to create a challenging but enjoyable workout. After many years of instructing, I find interval training gets amazing results in maximising fitness, fat loss and performance!
My workouts usually include hills for strength & muscular endurance plus sprints and chases to increase speed & power. No matter what your background, you will walk out fitter, leaner & tougher!
